Parametric AI for Automated CAD Variant Management
Complex Manufacturing & Engineering

The situation
Configurable product lines generate hundreds of near-identical parts, turning component libraries into unmanaged graveyards of copies.
Standard product variant workflows rely on manual "save-as" edits, separate re-validations, and disconnected CAD files. Design intent lives entirely in the head of whoever created the original component, and when master designs update, nothing downstream synchronizes. Over time, part families drift apart until teams work in parallel on divergent copies without centralized governance, creating a versioning failure across product lines.
The approach
A single-master parametric AI architecture that generates validated variants on demand.
vetta analyzes existing component libraries to extract hidden parametric skeletons, clustering near-duplicate parts into a single governed master model with driving dimensions exposed. Instead of redrawing CAD files by hand, configurations are defined by explicit engineering rules, including allowed dimensional ranges, dependent parameters, and forbidden combinations, allowing sales and engineering teams to work from a shared, constrained design space.
When a variant is requested, the system automatically produces release-ready geometry, drawings, and metadata in minutes, each validated against master rules before release. Any modifications made to the master automatically propagate to all affected variants, generating an automated impact list detailing which released parts and customer specifications are touched.
What changes for the engineer
Instead of redrawing CAD variants by hand, managing unlinked duplicate drawings, and re-validating identical components, engineers manage one governed master model. Customer specifications are converted into fully validated, release-ready geometry and drawings in minutes rather than days, leaving more time for engineering judgment and less for routine CAD maintenance.
